About the concert program:Although audiences usually think of Prokofiev's Peter and the Wolf as an orchestral piece, Prokofiev first performed it at a small children's theater with himself at the piano, playing his own solo piano version. On the second half of the program, you are invited to come along on this exciting tale while Peter and his animal friends dare to capture a hungry and dangerous wolf! The story is narrated by soprano Monica Stephens, and the characters in our little adventure can be heard scurrying about in the piano part.
