DESCRIPTION:
Students that are currently capable of doing theory work at their grade level (as defined by this theory testing curriculum) should participate in this event. The tests are administered by MCMTA members and graded by trained graders at the state (TMTA) level. The tests last about one to one and one-half hours. Once you are finished, simply leave. It takes about one month for the tests to get back to you. They must be collected locally, sent to the state level graders, then sent back to the local chairperson, distributed to the teachers, and then finally back to you.

PREPARATION:
Mr. Carney can give you a detailed description of what each student should be able to do for each grade level. In the weeks before the test, you will be given more specific theory assignments. You will also be given a practice theory test that will be an actual test that had been administered in previous years. That practice test will be nearly identical in format. This way you should know exactly what to expect.
